ASHHNA Scholarships

ASHHNA offers annual scholarships to support nurses undertaking a range of professional development activities, including workshops, short courses, tertiary studies, and conferences. Scholarship applications typically open once a year in March for a 30 day period, with applicants notified of the outcome following a panel review.

Criteria to apply:

• Be a current financial member of ASHHNA for at least 12 months prior to applying. Full and life members are eligible. 
• Provide proof of current registration as a nurse and/or midwife with the appropriate registration body. 
• Not have received an ASHHNA scholarship in the previous three years. 
• Submit all supporting documents via email to ashhnanurses@gmail.com
• Ensure the application is submitted by close of business on the closing date. Applications received after this date will not be eligible. 
• Complete the scholarship criteria within the word limits. 
• Provide details of other funding sources applied for or received.

Scholarship FAQs

When can I apply for a scholarship?

Scholarship applications typically open in March each year. Keep an eye out for the announcement on the ASHHNA Member Jungle app, website and via email to ASHHNA members

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

No, just apply for one scholarship. The panel may grant you a different scholarship type if it is better suited for that year. 

Where do I apply for the scholarship?

When applications are open, there will be a link on respective Carol Martin Scholarship and Conference Scholarship pages to an online form where you will submit your application. 

Where do I attach my supporting documents?

The online form does not accept attachments. Email all supporting documents to ashhnanurses@gmail.com before midnight Monday 30th March 2026.
