Matiu Bush is one of two Nurse Practitioner candidates at Melbourne Sexual Health. The centre encourages nurses to get invloved in various research projects and management have been supportive of extending nursing practice and nursing innovation.
"Often science and medicine debate inerventions that impact on communities without consulting the communities as to how they feel. The reseach explored gay men's attitudes towards the HPV vaccine and we learned a great deal about how many sexual contacts a man could have prior to asking for the vaccine by a health professional."
