The 2nd edition of the ASHHNA Competency Standards for sexual and reproductive health and HIV nurses were launched at the Australasian Sexual Health Conference, Canberra 2011.
The Competency Standards provide a comprehensive guide to speciality nursing practice for Registered Nurses and Advanced Registered Nurses working in sexual health, reproductive health and HIV nursing outpatient care settings.
The document includes information on assessing competency, mapping to the Australian Nursing Federation competency standards for advanced regsitered nurses, a Continuing Professiona Development Template and a guide for using the ASHHNA Competency Standards.
